FILM PROJECTS
Survey of the I-124 Submarine
The Japanese submarine I-124 was sunk to the bottom of the ocean by allied forces in WWII. Strong tides and murky waters have made it impossible to visit. Until now.
A team of archaeologists and technical divers use cutting edge equipment to photoscan the iconic submarine and build a detailed 3D model.
Made for the Northern Territory’s Maritime Heritage department.
Megalodon’s Graveyard
We’re going to the graveyard of the megalodon, the largest shark that ever existed. We find the fossilised teeth where you ‘d never expect to find them, in the suburb of Bayside.
Palaeontologist Ben Francischelli abseils down the cliffs of Bayside to show us where the shark teeth wash ashore. How did this creature grow so large? What did it hunt? and how did it go extinct?
